About Us

A Local Practice Built on Relationships

Founded in 2017 in the heart of Subiaco, we are an independent podiatry clinic dedicated to personalised care, honest advice, and long-term results.

How We Started

Subiaco Foot & Ankle Clinic opened its doors in 2017 with a simple mission: to provide the finest and most affordable podiatry treatment for local families, and to create a friendly environment, pleasant experience, and long-lasting relationship with every patient who walks through our door.

We are proudly independent. That means we answer to our patients, not to a corporate head office. It also means we can take the time to get to know you, your history, your goals, and your concerns. We do not believe in rushed appointments or one-size-fits-all treatment plans.

Our practice works closely alongside local general practitioners, physiotherapists and sports doctors, bringing together a network of skilled professionals to deliver comprehensive care when you need it.

We strive to adhere to the highest standards of quality, professionalism and integrity in everything we do.

Where We Are

You will find us at 23/3 Wexford Street, Subiaco WA 6008, conveniently located in the heart of Subiaco. We welcome patients from all Perth suburbs and have easy access to public transport and parking.

Meet the Team

Lane Sanderson, Principal Podiatrist & Owner

Lane Sanderson

Principal Podiatrist & Owner

Lane completed both his Bachelor and Master of Podiatric Medicine degrees with distinction at the University of Western Australia. Before founding Subiaco Foot & Ankle, he spent five years working as a podiatrist in Japan and Melbourne, gaining broad experience across general practice, sports medicine and complex foot surgery.

In Melbourne, Lane worked for the Melbourne Ingrown Toenail Clinic, which specialised in difficult cases, and underwent extensive training in foot surgery during his Master's degree. This experience shaped his approach to problem-solving and his belief that most foot conditions are very treatable if assessed thoroughly.

Lane is an active runner who understands firsthand the frustration of being sidelined by injury. He has competed in the Half Ironman Busselton (2018) and the Marathon Rottnest (2019). Today, he combines clinical practice with training the next generation of podiatrists as a postgraduate supervisor at UWA.

Lane is experienced in all facets of podiatry and takes particular pride in helping patients who have been told their condition is something they "just have to live with."

Dr Benny Sullivan, Podiatrist

Dr Benny Sullivan

Podiatrist

After a diverse career in healthcare management, Benny returned to university to study the Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at the University of Western Australia. He made the switch because he wanted work that combined his love of science with his passion for helping people stay active.

Benny is fascinated with all aspects of podiatry, and as an Olympic weightlifter he has a keen interest in sports medicine, biomechanics and footwear. He knows exactly how much an injured foot can derail training, and he brings that empathy to every patient consultation.

Benny has particular interest in heel pain, Achilles pain, flat foot, bunions, ankle sprains, fractures and rehabilitation. He is currently working toward obtaining his endorsement for scheduled medicines (prescription rights), which will allow him to offer an even broader range of treatments to his patients.

Outside the clinic, Benny volunteers with elite athletes across Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and weightlifting. He shares his home with four rescued pets and is rarely found without a coffee in hand.
